The South Boundary Fire Protection District is actively searching for individuals willing to give a few hours a week of their time to be a part of a dedicated team of people willing to help their neighbors in their time of need.

We currently have 20 Emergency Responders and 5 Junior Firefighters to cover approximately 50 square miles and protect approximately 2,600 residents. Our goal is to have 30 active responders within our District.

Incident 1

The South Boundary Fire Protection District takes pride in trying to meet the ever changing needs of our community, besides Wildland and Structure fires we assist in the area of Emergency Medical Services, Search and Rescue, automobile accidents and anything else that is thrown our way. Most recently we are training and upgrading equipment to create our own Cold Water/Ice Rescue Team due to all of the streams and bodies of water in our district.

Incident 2    Incident 3

We try very hard to create incentives for our volunteers due to the time and training they endure to keep certifications current. Presently we offer memberships to MedStar, Idaho Volunteer Fire and Emergency Services Association memberships, AD&D coverage while away from the District and we have a points system for fuel reimbursements.

We currently operate out of three fully functional stations with 11 response apparatus, we also operate an ambulance out of our station in Naples through Boundary Volunteer Ambulance.

Please contact Chief Tony Rohrwasser at (208)267-8052 or email at chief@southboundaryfire.com if you have any questions or would like a tour of our stations and operation. We encourage you to come down and stand in on training night, meet the Firefighters and see what its all about.
